You simply could not compete at the highest level without PED's - that's a fact. He's done nothing that Pantani, Zulle, Ullrich Riis, Armstrong etc etc haven't done. You have to understand that drugs are engrained in the culture of cycling - that's the way it has always been and will always be. I appreciate how you skipped over his Polti time and the controversy around that signing. I was living in France at the time and even there my cycling friends and the press were incredulous that anyone would sign him. Remember, "Mes produits, comment je vais faire maintenant?".
